The BUEIFF CHANNEL is a Bimonthly annex to the prestigious
BUENOS AIRES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL BUENOS AIRES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Receive votes from around the world, compete for the BUEIFF Trophy and get your film screened in the live event in Buenos AIres, Argentina!

Be part of the official “Netflix Style” platform BUEIFF ProChannel!

*The festival scoring consists of three rounds:

Films will not be seen publicly. Only those who register with the Jury Membership will have access to see them.

One of our goals is to bring cinema to every corner of the world, so anyone can register and obtain a membership to be a Jury and have access to watch and vote!

You will can vote, make reviews, and participate in the BUEIFF CHANNEL draws!

This is a Bi-monthly Competition.

Every month, 52 films compete on our platform for one week!

The first 5 places of that week (most voted), will automatically be Finalists of the month and will compete to win the competition!

The first round is open to the public with BUEIFF memberships only, where votes are collected throughout the week on the Festival page. The movie can be viewed privately for 7 days on the website. Start sharing the link to collect as many votes as you can!

*50 films compete each week and the films that manages to be in the first 5 places of the week, will automatically be the Finalist of the month and will compete for such an award*

Jury Award: The 5 Finalists of the first month and the 5 Finalists of the second month, will be sent to the Internal Judges of the BUEIFF Channel, who will choose one as the Winner!

*Round 2: Internal Judges Round.

 

The best films of each week (Finalists) after the social round will be sent to the BUEIFF CHANNEL Internal Judges, who will deepen and rate the films based on multiple aspects. The short film with the highest overall score wins the month.

 

– The Finalist of the week is announced every Monday.

 

– The Winner of the month is announced on the first Monday of the following month.

 

Round 3. Winners Round.

Audience Award: The remaining 9 finalists will compete against each other on a special list. The most voted film will be the Winner of the Audience Award.

The winning film of the month will be screened with a live audience at our annual event and will compete with the other winners for being crowned Best of the Year and winning the BUEIFF trophy!

All Winners will compete for the BUEIFF Trophy for the Best Film of the Year!

JURY AWARD TROPHY: The winner of the bi-monthly competition, selected by the official BUEIFF Channel jury between the 10 finalists.

Round 1: Pre-Selected and Official Selections. The first 5 places of the week (most voted), will automatically be Finalists of the Month and will compete to win the competition!
Round 2: Finalists
The 5 Finalist of the first month and the 5 Finalist of the second, will be sent to the Internal Judges of the BUEIFF Channel, who will choose one as the Winner!
Round 3: Winners and Event
All Winners will receive their Winner BUEIFF Channel Certificates and will be at the live screening event in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Where they will compete for the Best Film of the Year!

 

 

A- This is a Bi-Monthly Competition. Films should be less than 30 minutes long. Movies of any genre are accepted.


Ab- Films will not be seen publicly. Only those who register with BUEIFF users will have access to see and vote them.


Ac- Anyone is allowed to register and get a user.


B- Each filmmaker can submit as many projects as they wish.


C- If you are pre-selected, the BUEIFF Channel team will upload your film to the website and notify you in which week you will compete.

E- If more than one project by the same filmmaker is shortlisted, only one will compete in the week. However, it will be able to compete with the other project in the next week.


F- After competing, those movies remain on the website until the filmmaker wants to remove them. Meanwhile, only Bueiff users can see them.


G- The Finalists of the month is announced the following Monday to compete. The Winner of the Competition is announced on the first Monday of the following month.


H- By submitting a film, you accept the bases and conditions of the festival.

 

 

Voting system and results

The festival scoring consists of three rounds:

* Round 2: Finalists

The 5 Finalist of the first month and the 5 Finalist of the second, will be sent to the Internal Judges of the BUEIFF Channel, who will choose one as the Winner! That film will be screening in the Annual Event (and will compete for the Best of the Year).

*Repechage (one more place): The remaining 9 finalists will compete against each other on a special list. The most voted film will also be screened at the event!

* Round 3: Winners and Event

All Winners will receive their Winner BUEIFF Channel Certificates and will be at the live screening event in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Where they will compete for the Best Film of the Year!
The live audience on the event will choose the Winner and that film will receive the Official Certificate and the BUEIFF Trophy.

Users can register for free here. With that user they will be able to vote and have limited access to the content of the platform.

They will have available to upgrade to the premium plan (9.99 USD) or VIP (12.49 USD) if they wish.

The first 5 places of the week (most voted), will automatically be Finalists of the Month and will compete to win the competition! The results will be published on our official site.

The Finalists of the month is announced the following Monday to competed. The Winner of the Competition is announced on the first Monday of the following month.

 

According to each week, the jurors change, as well as the number of votes, but generally, obtain the Official Selection by getting 10 votes.
The list of Official Selection is determined by a computer formula that gives weight primarily to the average score for each week, the process is entirely automated.

Other Information

All Selected films will receive the Official Selection Honorary Laurel and can request an Official Certificate to participation.
All Monthly Finalist will receive official BUEIFF Laurels and compete for being the Best of the Bi-Month.

All Bi-Monthly Winners will receive an Official CHANNEL BUEIFF Certificates and will be shown at the live screening of the Annual Event. At the Annual Event, the Winner of the Year will be decided by the live audience and will receive a BUEIFF Certificate and Trophy.
Both will be considered finalists and will compete to win the bimonth.
There is no restriction on content, all thematics are allowed. The only restriction is regarding the maximum duration, short films of up to 30 minutes will be accepted.
